Run Report ....

Mt White for Lunch, 30th April 2022 ....

The continuing big wet of 2022 greeted our group as we met at Thornleigh Maccas on Saturday morning.  The wet weather failed to put a dampener on our spirits however and lively conversation ensued.

We decided to trial a Saturday club run at the request of our members over our traditional Sunday club runs.  Traffic was pretty light as we headed of into the rain up pennant hills road.

Following a wet but picturesque drive through the old pacific highway, we arrived at our lunch spot, The Old Road Café at Mount White.  The café was a first for the club and it has a lovely rustic feel.  Normally a busy spot, popular with classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts, the wet weather kept most at bay, and we parked-up easily right at the front of the café.

After an extended car park discussion time we headed into the café for lunch.  The café has a great selection of café-style foods and while the café was a little under-staffed following the covid crisis, our food was delivered promptly and was most enjoyable.

Time to hit the road, we decided to return to Sydney via the motorway and we headed-off on our various paths.

A relaxing and enjoyable day was had by all and thanks to everyone for attending.  Look forward to seeing you all at the next run in May.

Cheers,

Steve.
