Run Report ....
Sussex Inlet (AGM), 25-27 March 2022 ....
With what started as a wet weekend, became a great weekend.
The group met-up at Leo’s Diner for this run and we headed-off on time, meeting-up with Steve at Kiama. After some group photos, we headed for our lunch destination at Berry where we were joined here by Ron and Robin. With lunch done-and-dusted, we were back on the road to our weekend destination – Sussex Inlet.
Once we settled into our motel, it was soon time for nibbles and drinks. The group headed-off for dinner by 6:00pm. Conveniently, the RSL just across the road was our choice for this and the food and service were great. We found ourselves back at the motel for a nightcap and waited for our first lady, Annie, to arrive around 9:15pm who had left work late and then drove through torrential rain in the dark!
Saturday morning was a late start by 10:00am. We were heading-off to Ulladulla and some retail therapy. By 12 noon, we where back on the road to our lunch stop at Burrill Lakes. The Club put on a fish and chip lunch and went down very well with the group. Following lunch, we headed back to Sussex Inlet.
The AGM was held at the RSL club meeting room commencing at 3:30pm and finishing by 3:50pm. The meeting went well with the current committee carrying on for 2022.
Afterwards, we found ourselves back in the motel carpark BBQ area having drinks.
The group met-up in the carpark by 6:15pm and headed to our dinner stop within stumbling distance right next door at the local pub! I have to say the service, food and live music was really good.
After dinner, we had a nightcap back in the motel BBQ area much to the disappointment of the ‘golf tour buddies’ staying at the motel – those pesky Torana people taking over again!
Sunday morning it’s time to head home. We said our goodbyes’ and all headed for home. I must say thank you to all who attended.
