Run Report ....
Southern Highlands, 16th May 2021 ....
The main group met at Leo's Diner before Bob led the group down the freeway to Berrima to commence the scenic tour of the Southern Highlands. The group was met at Berrima by the rest of the group and Rob’s highway patrol mate. Berrima was busy this morning with lots of groups meeting-up and the sight of the highway patrol car checking-out the Toranas probably got some heads turned.
After a quick rest stop, Steve led the group of on the first leg of the tour heading of to Roberstson, driving through Berrima, Bowral, Mittagong over Mount Gibraltar and on through Kangaloon to our lunch stop. Lunch was at the Roberstson Public House. Great atmosphere with our table right in front of the log fire and fantastic meals delivered in quick time.
Lunch done, we headed-off on the second leg of the trip, driving through the countryside via Fitzroy Falls, Exeter, Bundanoon, Sutton Forest and onto Moss Vale to Annie and Steve’s place.
Annie had headed-off earlier and was waiting with afternoon devonshire tea and caramel slice ready to go. A relaxing and enjoyable time was in store as we tucked into an afternoon of delicious treats and great conversation.
Overall, a fun tour through the beautiful country roads of the Southern Highlands. Thanks to everyone who made the trek south and helped out with afternoon tea, a great day had by all.
Cheers Steve.
