Run Report ....

Wollombi Tavern 16/09/2018 ....

The meeting point for the run to Wollombi was McDonalds, Thornleigh. Members, enthusiastic for the run, arrived at Maccas early, and with breakfast and coffee done, we headed-off right on time. It was a good run up to the freeway, and surprisingly, little traffic for a Sunday which meant that the traffic flowed well.

We exited at the Peats Ridge turn-off, passed through Calga and then onto the Wollombi Road. On this section of road the bikers are always out-and-about; like the one who passed us on unbroken lines and on the crest of a hill (what an idiot). Anyway we all arrived at the tavern safe and well. The Wollombi Taven gets extremely busy here so we ordered our meals soon after we arrived. Service was great and we were soon tucking into our meals. Following lunch, some of the members headed back the way we came, while the remainder returned via Broke and Bulga where we had a pit stop. Ironically, it was here where we were joined by club members Mark, Heather and the children (Jack and Ria), who on their way home from Tamworth.  The remainder of run home down the Putty was good.

Many thanks for all who came along and to those who apologised for not being able to attend.

Attendees: Steve, Scott (Steve's mate), Rob, Rose, Harold, Bob, Mark, Heather, Jack and Ria.

Apologies: Julie, Mark, Mike, Gabrielle, Peter, Lance, Rob, Sharon, Ron, Robin, Annie, Leanne, Greg, Lexa and Micheal.
