Run Report ....
Nattai National Park, 30 July 2017 ....
What a great day for the club's BBQ picnic run to the Nattai National Park. Blue skies, cold wintry wind and plenty of club members who met-up at Eastern Creek McDonalds on the M4 Motorway. By 9:30am, and after discussing the route, we headed-out onto the motorway and up to the Northern Road exit. Continuing-on and passing where the old Oran Park racing circuit once was, then through Narellan and to the Camden bypass where we turned onto The Oaks Road. From this point in was just a 35 minute drive to our lunch spot and driving into the carpark we were greeted by our advance party; Mike, Gabby, Harold, Rose, Mark, Heather and the children.
BBQs fired-up and lunch was cooking in no time at all. Our friendly and experienced chef (Mark), who obtained his training from Hell's Kitchen, worked flat-out cooking and had everyone eating lunch in what seemed no time at all with some even returning for seconds. Main course out of the way and with the afternoon wearing-on, it was time for desert. Certainly no shortage of food and so much to choose from.
By about 2:30pm, it was pack-up time, and by 3:30pm we were all bidding each other farewell. As always, when you are having a good time, the day passes in a fast and furious fashion and it wasn't long before we departed for home.
As a foot note, I would like to thank Mark for doing such a splended job with the BBQ, and also to all those who attended this run to make it the great day that it was.
