Run Report ....
Bowral, 22 February 2015 ....
Well, what can I say, what a great turn out for our first run of the year. Most of the group met at Leo’s Diner at 9:47am. The Sydney Torana Club had gathered there also for a run to Kangaroo Valley, greetings were exchanged and they left around 10.
After coffee and breakfast we headed off at 10:14 for Bowral. Good traffic flow on the motorway, a few showers of rain, but not enough to dampen our spirits. We arrived at the Bradman Museum at around 11.20, Bob organised entry at a good price for those going through, while some went into town to hit the shops. After Bob and I had handed some memorabilia to the curator we headed to the Royal Hotel for lunch, where we met up with Mike & Gaby and Rose & Harold. Even though the prices were good, some of us were a little less than impressed with the food and service at the pub. With so many members to catch up with there was a lot of ‘gum bumping’ going on, before and after our food finally arrived.
We eventually dragged ourselves outside to disperse, 10 minutes or so later we got to our cars and headed home. What a great day and it was good to see so many members and partners in attendance, some coming from far afield and others just around the corner.
Those in attendance: Bob, Les, Liz, Steve, Annie, Mark,Heather, Mike, Denise, Peter Macken, Gary, Kerry, Scott, Leanne, Joe, Cath, Mike, Gaby, Rose and Harold.
We would also like to wish Steve and Annie a very Happy 29th Wedding Anniversary.
Apologies from Rob and Leanne and Michael Velo.
