Run Report ....
Berrima, 27 July 2014 ....
Meeting point; Uncle Leo’s Diner at 9.30am for a 10.00am departure. On arrival we fuelled-up ready for departure at 10.00am and headed-in for coffee to warm-up for our run down the Hume Motorway to Berrima.
The weather was brisk early, coats were the go first-up, fine and clear day ahead for a leisurely drive.
Members were welcomed as they arrived and our newest member, Gary and wife Kerry arrived in their LJ XU-1 replica (green). Welcome to the Club; hope you enjoy the day out.
Bob led down the motorway at a casual pace, encountering a few drivers that weren’t aware that we were driving in a group, e.g., pulling-out in front of him. Arriving in Berrima we parked at the back of the pub, a very visual spot, to find Mike and Gabby already there. A great line up of Toranas.
Liz and Kerry hit the shops. Late arrivals, Joe and Kath, after a delay (bad day with an unexpected brush with the law), bad luck Joe. Rose arrived, minus Harold, something about sharpening his chainsaw.
We took-up our usual table and ordered lunch. Lunch over and a photo shoot in front of the cars in the sunshine with and a chat about the upcoming Toranarama and Holden Day.
It was good to see everyone on a sunny winter day. Thanks to everyone for attending and bringing your cars, they looked fantastic parked together.
