Great Cars, Great Runs, Great People, Great Times ....

Run Report ....

Scarborough Pub, 13 November, 2011 ....

The day started-off a bit overcast. By the time we departed the meeting pont, the weather had improved.

Out onto Heathcote Road and before long we were in the Royal National Park which has one of those great roads suiting the Torana. We soon had Mike and Gabby with us and then we stopped on the far side of the Seascape Bridge where we took some happy snaps. Then it was off to our lunch spot at the Scarborough Hotel.

What a great pub for lunch and the view was something else. Great food, great scenery, great run and what a way too spend a Sunday arvo.

The Scarborough Hotel is Wollongong's oldest licensed venue, and in fact, the town itself, (formerly known as South Clifton,) was named after the venue. Opened in the late 1880's, the hotel retains period features, giving it a warm and charming pub atmosphere. The cliff-side location of the Scarborough means you can enjoy uninterrupted ocean views. There is a bistro which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with full gaming facilities available and a good selection of beers, spirits and wine.

After lunch we said our goodbyes and we all headed home.

Attendees: Mike and Gabby, Les and Liz, Bob.

Apologies: Larry, Mike Velo, Scott and Leanne, Lance.
