Run Report ....
Huskisson, 21 November 2010 ....
The Run of Nov 21 saw a minimal turnout as several members had other commitments. This was unfortunate as the weather was ideal and there is some beautiful scenery to be seen on the runs both down the coast and back through the National Park or Kangaroo Valley.
Two cars were waved off from Liverpool Maccas by Bob and Leanne. All went well until we reached ‘colliery country’ where all traffic came to a standstill because of a parade of heavy machinery being permitted to occupy all road space. This 'Convoy for Camp Quality' held us up for about half an hour and then we were able to continue. The other car left us at Nowra.
Almost into Huskisson we were again stopped by Police and made to take a lengthy detour , bringing us eventually to the destination. This detour was due to the running of the Huskisson Triathlon. We found Garfield parked on his own, and took a spot beside him. At the Pub we enjoyed lunch with Gaby, Mike and Rose.
After spending a little time enjoying the beach and village of Huskisson we left for home returning by the Kangaroo Valley route.
Joe.
