Run Report ....
Singleton, 11 April 2010 ....
The day started off at Macca's at McGraths Hill under blue skies. When I arrived at 8:15am, I was greeted by Les and Elizabeth and while ordering coffee, Ian and Cindy turned-up followed soon after by Rob and Kimmy.
Some preferred to spill the coffee rather than drinking it (no names), but once out of the way, I gave my run-down for the days trip and soon we were on our way.
The kilometres past away and soon we were on the open road but a short stop was needed to check the oil in Ian's hatchback (Mr Valvoline).
Back on the road and we found we had it to ourselves with very little traffic. We arrived at Singleton by 11:30am, purchased some oil for the hatchback which had a really bad rear main seal leak, took some happy snaps by the large sundial and then onto lunch at the Royal Hotel. Surprisingly the lunch came with a free drink (what a bargain?) and the food was really good.
After lunch it was time to head for home and no more daylight savings the sun is gone by 5:30pm. The trip home was good but some bikers we saw definitely have a death wish for they overtook us on double white lines and on bends.
We stopped for a fuel at Colo Heights, said our goodbyes and all independently headed for home. This was one of our best pub lunch runs to date.
Attendees: Les and Elizabeth, Ian and Cindy, Rob and Kimmy, Bob Byrnes.
Apologies: Larry, Mike, Dean, Lance.
Bob.
