Run Report ....
Bell, 28 February 2010 ....
The run to Kurrajong began at the McDonalds West on the M4 expressway where we started with three Toranas an a ring-in. At Northern Road we linked-up with Rob, Hayley and Rory Shaw who also brought along Les due to his Torana having some mechanical problems. As we travelled up the mountains on the highway we also collected Joe and Kath Moeller at Springwood and continued on. The Road works are a nuisance and have made parts of the highway chopped-up, however upon arriving at Mt Victoria we turned right and travelled along to Bell on a much nicer section of road. We linked-up with Rob, Leanne and Kim and took off down the Bells Line of Road to Kurrajong. It surprised me to hear bell birds much higher up than at Kurrajong and the calls were numerous.
Lunch was booked at the Kurrajong Heights Hotel and they had the table set out and waiting for us. Parking was easy and we ordered and sat down.
This venue is now highly recommended as the food was excellent with a good menu and plenty of.
After the lunch’s disappeared the group said goodbyes and headed off to the four corners they came from.
