Run Report ....

Berry/Berrima 27 January 2008 ....

Upon arriving at our starting point I was greeted by Michael, Lisa and Cody and Les, and soon after by our newest member Joe Moellers in his good looking LH. It wasn't long before more members started arriving, Reno(who turn up just to say hello) and Scott and Leanne.

After a short rundown on our route for the day we were on our way. When we reached the Wilton Road the group was joined by Rob and Donna Shaw. It was a great day for a driving, once again the 'Weather God' was smiling on the group. The kilometres seemed to roll by and we were soon in Berry. Time to park the cars and stretch the legs, some refuelled and some defueled.

Soon we were back in the cars and on our way to Berrima, I have to say the next section of road is just great for driving Toranas. Except for the 300 meters of dug up section many thanks to the local council, everything went well until we reached Bowral.

I received a call from Leanne. The yellow Torana had stopped and had no power and was not wanting to go anywhere (fast). All the group looked over the car for 30 minutes and still no progress, it was time to call Mr NRMA Scott told us to go on to Berrima. Mike who had already been in Berrima awaiting our arrival, made a call and knew the problem with Scott's car.

The group got to the pub and into the back car park in no time. We spoke to the owner about being late, "No worry's all was good". Lunch was ordered and served in good time. We had the big room out back to ourselves. I have since been informed that Scott regained his sense of humour.

I would like to finish this report by saying that it's great to see new members joining the Club and enjoying everything thing that it offers them.
