Run Report ....
Picton, 31 August 2008 ....
The day didn’t start off well weather wise. However, by the time 9.30am came around the rain had stopped and didn’t return during the run. We set off at our scheduled time for Picton as we decided that as there were not that many of us we would forgo the Railway Museum. Ian had made arrangements with the new owners of “2 Tough” to join us at Picton.
Arriving at Picton we found parking and decided to have some morning tea while we got to know Harvey and Trish (Ian’s friends). As we were waiting for our orders we saw Rob Shaw drive past in his white & black Torana. He was going to join us as we went past Campbelltown but missed us and caught us up at Picton.
After morning tea we said goodbye to Harvey and Trish and continued on to Camden for lunch. We drove over Razor Back through thick fog and arrived at the Camden Valley Inn. We discovered the Inn is a very popular Sunday lunch destination.
After enjoying a wonderful lunch we said our goodbyes and headed for home.
Thanks go to James and Natalie for scouting the run and to our Run Leaders who shared the responsibility Ian and Rob.
Members who attended: Scott and Leanne DavidsonJames, Davidson and Natalie (who joined us for part of the way as they were heading home to Canberra), Ian, Aaron and April Williams, Les Wilson, Rob Shaw and his two young co-drivers, Dean and Rory.
Sorry, no photographs.
